The Castle of Good Hope

ABOUT

The Story of our Church is one of our experiential learning events that engage the participants in the process of transformative learning through experience and reflection. You can read more about our different experiential learning options here.

The Story of the Church is a pilgrimage through the Cape Town CBD, visiting historic sites of injustice and liberation, which allow for reflection on our heritage and our legacy as the church in South Africa. Both as an instrument of injustice and as a liberating force for justice in our City.

Special attention is paid to the role of the church in our history. The event itself is a mixture of commentary, reflection, Scripture reading, prayer, and lament.

Event Details:

The event begins at 09:00 outside the Castle of Good Hope and ends at 13:00 at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). Upon registration, each participant will be sent an email with the exact meeting spot and a route itinerary.

Cost: R165 per person
