Arise: Adoption & Discipline (ONLINE)

ABOUT

Being confronted with challenging behaviour is not easy for any parent but as adoptive parents we need to understand the importance of preserving your emotional connection with your child is priority.

You may have lots of thoughts as you discipline:

"What if I damage my child?" "What if there is something wrong with my child? Is this adoption related?"

 "Do I need to change my limits?" "Can I discipline without abandoning my child in the process?"

We will explore why building trust and attachment takes precedence over ‘fixing’ the child's present behaviour, however there is still opportunities to hold firm healthy boundaries that strengthens belonging within the home.

Come and join us ONLINE where we explore what it means to make sense of behaviour, connection and limit setting in a way that honours your child and the fullness of who they are.

This workshop will be an interactive time to engage with other adoptive families as well as plenty of time for Q&A!
