This workshop is designed for anyone working in the helping field who is feeling compassionate fatigue, who loves their job but struggling to find for themselves and struggling to say no. In this workshop, professionals are given the skills to cope with emotional burnout and secondary trauma, and how to take care of themselves.


The workshop will cover the following:


  • To understand burnout and stress management skills;
  • To have an increase knowledge of how to foster resilience and why it is important;
  • To know how and why one needs to incorporate self-care when caring for others;
  • To know how to partner WITH rather than doing FOR;
  • To increase the ability to set healthy boundaries;
  • To develop a personal resilience strategies.

The workshop will be interactive with an opportunity to practice some of the skills learnt while doing case studies and discussions.


This event is aimed for anyone who is working in the helping field be it community workers, social workers, psychologists, church workers and many more.
