ABOUT
The Truck Driver Safety and Wellness Symposium is a new event on the transport sector calendar, developed in response to national concerns raised with the Department of Transport. Led by the SaferStops Association, this public-private collaboration brings together key stakeholders, including truck drivers, fleet managers, government bodies, and private sector representatives, to address critical challenges and foster progress.
The Symposium will focus on driver safety, asset protection, and road safety, alongside drivers’ financial and physical health. Recognising the pivotal role of truck drivers in the supply chain, it will feature discussions and workshops on effective safety measures both on the road and at truck stops, exploring the latest technologies and practices to enhance driver safety.
Moreover, the Symposium emphasises driver well-being, addressing access to healthier lifestyle options, support systems, and chronic medication. This platform promotes sharing best practices and innovative solutions to support drivers’ health and wellness in the face of their profession’s demands.
