ABOUT

This 3.5 hour interactive experientially based training targets anyone who works with children & adolescence in a group setting. It will provide an interactive and fun learning environment and give the participant the knowledge and skills they need to run any psychosocial group effectively.

Aims:

  • To enhance participant facilitation skills that are required to run an interactive, participatory and fun session that promote learning and psychosocial wellbeing of children.
  • To develop an understanding of group dynamics and the roles participants play within a group.
  • To develop co-facilitation skills, or how to work well with someone else.
  • To consider ways of increasing child and adolescence participation in group sessions.
  • To equip facilitators with skills to manage difficult behaviours & children in distress.

The workshop will be interactive with an opportunity to practice some of the skills learnt while doing case studies and discussions.

This event is aimed at professionals, but open to all who works with vulnerable children and families.
