ABOUT SYMBULON CHARTIABLE TRUST (NPO: 245 - 052 / PBO 930070871)

Symbulon Charitable Trust which supports disadvantaged children in the Western Cape village of McGregor has embarked on building and equipping a new multifunctional performing arts studio and centre at 42 Tindall Street, McGregor.

Construction has begun on this exciting project which will accommodate two versatile dance studios with sprung floors, mirrors and barres. These studios will also be used for musical and theatrical pursuits.

Over the past ten years dance has been truly transformative in McGregor. Many children in the village face enormous challenges of poverty, drug and alcohol abuse in the community, criminality and violence. But through the positive experience and discipline of dance, taught by the deservedly honoured Mary Corpe Silver and First Step Ballet McGregor, children have gained self-confidence, poise and self-respect and have realised that there is another reality to which they can aspire. This makes a difference.

All proceeds from donations go directly to paying construction costs. Wherever possible, Symbulon has and will be utilising the services of local McGregor craftsmen and women.

Symbulon has NPO and PBO registrations and donations are tax deductible. Once you purchase your donation ticket we will send you your tax certificate.
