Cradle of Creativity at Sibikwa (Day Entry)

ABOUT

Cradle of Creativity goes to Sibikwa Arts Centre for a day filled with local and international theatre made specifically for our youngest citizens! These includes the beloved Swiss company whose production Game Theory has been a touring hit. The dance piece looks at how we play together, the joy, the competitiveness, the comparisons, and the camaraderie. It is a show that is great for children and teens. Dictated Democracy is a powerful poetry and dance performance created for and by South African youth questioning the project of democracy. Lunchbox Theatre will present Listen! a non-verbal physical storytelling piece that tells the story of an African village's transition into urbanisation. To Hell With A Paradise is a fun musical performance from Danish company from Denmark. A raucous tale that has Shakespeare's Juliet and Adam's, the one from the Garden of Eden, worlds colliding. The day will begin with an interactive creative project called 'We Are Instructables' made possible through the Letsema!/Collaborate project. This project brought artists from Belgium and South Africa to create work with and for young people. And of course Sibikwa Arts Centre will open the day with a showcase presenting highlights from their many programmes and offerings.
