IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: GAIAN DREAM POSTPONED UNTIL 20/21/22 OCTOBER
We have made the difficult decision to postpone Gaian Dream 2023 until 20/21/22 October (one week later) due to flooding on the festival site.
As you all know, the Western Cape has been experiencing severe storms and intense periods of rain for the past few weeks causing widespread flooding in many areas. In addition to the "100 year flood" that took place 2 weeks ago in the TWK area, Riviersonderend experienced over 100mm of rain within the last few days. The dams, rivers and water table in the area are full.
The recent heavy rains has caused the rivers, roads and fields on and leading into the venue to flood. This means that we cannot safely setup the festival. After extensive consultation with authorities and stakeholders - the recommendation was given that we postpone the festival. We visited the site to validate the concerns raised and the difficult decision was made to postpone the festival by 1 week.
Our main priority is the safety and well-being of our crew and festival attendees. A postponement is the only option to ensure safe and enjoyable festival for all.
The program, schedule and lineup of the festival remains the same.
The new dates for the event will be 20, 21 & 22 October 2023.
Regarding refunds - we will be refunding in exceptional circumstances only - please email us on [email protected] and we will review your case.
