How to develop a Presence Centred Ministry

Sat Feb 17, 09:00 - Sat Feb 17, 13:00

The Father's House Christian Fellowship

ABOUT

The aim of our workshop is to discuss the various ways you can build a Presence-Centered Children's Church; where the focus is on children knowing God with their whole mind, body, soul and spirit. Our children were created to know God with their whole being. One of the pitfalls of any ministry to children, is to focus only on the lesson and concept we want to teach. We can forget the Person Whom this is all about. At this workshop we want to equip you to build a ministry centered around the Presence of the Trinity. Attendees will get the opportunity to engage in various encounter stations - these are activities that facilitate an encounter with God.

Who is this workshop aimed at?

This is a workshop for parents, children's ministry teams, or anyone working with children. If you are passionate to see children walk with God, then this workshop is also for you! Children's ministry teams are especially welcome!  We want our children to have a personal, living relationship with Holy Spirit and walk in His power.

What will we discuss at the workshop?

During this workshop, we will discuss:

  • How to facilitate activities that will lead children to engage with and encounter God
  • How to develop, set up, and use encounter stations at your children's church
  • How to help children to know when God is speaking to them

Details about the conference:

The workshop is on Saturday 17 February 2023 from 09:00 - 13:00, at The Father's House Christian Fellowship. The address is: Bellbusk Crescent, Vredenberg in Bellville. Please note that the workshop will start promptly at 09:00. Registration is from 08:15.

Speakers at the workshop

Esme Schmitt

Esmé Schmitt is passionate about training children and youth to become on-fire revivalists who love the Presence of God and are eager to be used by God to transform all aspects of society. She is a firm believer that children and youth do not carry a junior Holy Spirit and are used by God in many powerful ways.

For many years, Esmé has presented, and been involved in conferences and outreaches to empower and equip children and teenagers for revival. The conferences and outreaches led her to minister in places such as Southern Africa, Gabon, North and South America, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, and Germany.

Esmé believes that the church needs a new wineskin to raise and nurture kid revivalists. She is passionate about mentoring children’s churches (children’s church pastors/ leaders/teachers) and parents to raise up a generation of kid revivalists. Esmé is currently a pastor at Journey of Grace (overseeing the children’s church) and also the Founder of Transformerz (www.transformerz.org).

Lynette Snyman

Lynette Snyman has been a children’s pastor at The Father’s House for over 20 years. She has a passion to see children understand and walk in the love of God and who God has called them to be. She also has a passion to see children encounter God’s presence, and understand that He is real and with them. She believes that children do not have to wait until they are older to be used by God, but that God can and does use children to advance His Kingdom.

Lynette really enjoys mentoring and training people working in children’s ministry so that together we can bring God’s love to all children. She loves meeting with other children’s pastors to encourage and equip one another. She has written a children’s church syllabus for pre-school to grade 7 that helps children to engage with God, as well as teach children about God.
