The only survivor of a grisly massacre joins forces with an unlikely group of rookie police officers and criminals to protect a police station from an onslaught of Lovecraftian creatures from another realm. Utilizing entirely practical effects, complete with copious amounts of fake blood and gore, "How to Kill Monsters" serves up a nostalgic popcorn horror experience.
