ABOUT
Thanks to funding from the National Lotteries Commission, Jungle Theatre Company will be performing their new show Dassie’s Tale as part of the Muizenberg Festival on 12 October 2019 from 3 to 4pm. It will take place in a new theatre space for family shows called “Jungle Theatre” at 3 Marchmont Road, Muizenberg.
Dassie’s Tale, is an African folktale suitable for ages 3 and up. The story is set in ancient times when the earth was created. All the animals embarked on a journey to share their talents. However, Dassie was too lazy to make the effort and learnt an important lesson about working hard and being honest. The performance involves some isiXhosa, beautiful songs, expressive dance and imaginative masks.

Tickets are only R50 and are also available at the door for cash or card. Refreshments and children’s books will also be on sale. All proceeds will be used to support the ongoing activities of Jungle Theatre Company a registered NPO.
