After completing his studies at the University of Cape Town, Benjamin wanted to gain corporate experience, before going full-time into his own business, and worked as am M7A investment banker at J.P Morgan Chase in Johannesburg. Ben left the bank in 2015 to found HouseME, on yje back of his other startups launched: OTL Media, TechView, Oracle Investment Partners and RipCD.
Ben is an Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellow and has successfully sold one of his previous startups. He worked part-time for the Association of Allan Gray Fellows and been feature on Flux trends. He has represented South Africa in the EMEA CFA Challenge in 2014 and was a delegate of Investec/En-novate’s Hi Tech Trip to Silicon Valley in 2016. He was a delegate of Startup Safari’s trip to India earlier that year.
Ben has successfully transitioned HouseME from a pre-revenue business plan into a funded, post-revenue company seeking scale on the global stage.
