We are happy to announce that we are opening registrations for our long-awaited church camp! Godstock 2018 will take place from 23 - 25 March 2018 at the beautiful Moreson farm, just outside Malmesbury. The camp is fully catered for, so all you need to do is buy your ticket, arrive on the correct date and pitch your tent!

Do not miss this event! It’s going to be huge! We are very expectant to see God move amongst us in amazing ways.

Ticket Prices (includes camp and catering cost, unless otherwise stated):
  • Adults 13+ = R450
  • Children 7 - 12 years = R140
  • Children 0 - 6 = R140
  • Children 0 - 6   = Free (if you choose to self-cater)

Please Note that Camping is at your own risk.

Must I be a Joshgen signed member to be able to attend the camp? 

The camp is open to all those who regularly attend any one of the JoshGen congregations.

May I bring a friend or neighbour that does not attend JoshGen? 

If they are not attending a JoshGen congregation, then no. We will prioritise space for those that are members and also those that attend JoshGen on a regular basis.

What facilities are available? 

Ablutions: There are 3 permanent ablution blocks with separate toilets and showers for male and female campers, as well as an additional trailer unit with 8 showers and 8 toilets. There are no baths.

Kitchen: There is a temporary kitchen area setup within the catering hall equipped with a freezer, fridges, microwaves, and hot water urns for heating up kid’s food/bottles/etc. This area is designated for moms with small kids and babies only. It is not a general area.

Tea & Coffee: We will have an area that will be open from 7am until 10pm where you can get free tea and coffee.

Kiosk: You can buy chips, chocolates, water, sodas etc. at the kiosk (Card/Snapscan/Cash)

Coffee Café: There will be an outdoor coffee café selling cappuccinos, lattes, americanos, hot chocolate etc. (Card/Cash)

How big are the tented camp sites? 

The camp blocks are 7x7m. Please ensure your guide ropes will fit within a block.

Can I Bring my caravan/campervan or camping trailer? 

Yes, we have set out designated areas fitted with electrical points.

If I sleep in my bakkie where can I park it? 

You will be able to park it within the caravan/campervan/camping trailer area.

Where can I park my car and will it be safe? 

Cars can be parked in the fenced off parking area, which will be watched by a security guard during the entire duration of the camp.

When can I access the campsite? 

The camp site will open from 12pm on Friday, 23 March.

What time must we be off the farm by? 

You must leave the farm on Sunday, 25 March no later than 2:30pm.

What will happen when I get to the campsite? 

We will direct you to the parking area, from there you can proceed on foot to the registration tents to collect your armbands and food stubs. From there you can proceed to the camping area to setup your tent.

May I make a fire? 

No. However small gas camping stoves and lights are allowed, but must be supervised at all times.

Will there be an area to charge equipment and phones? 

Yes, there will be a small charging tent located close to the main hall. Please remember not to leave anything unattended and note that we will take no responsibility for items that go missing.

Is there a map to the farm?

Will there be signboards directing me to Moreson Farm? 

Yes, signboards will be posted along the N7 close to the farm turn-off.

What do I need to bring? 

Tent, sleeping bag, mattress, pillows, towels, camping chairs, Umbrella/Gazebo toilet paper, toiletries, Bible, notebook and pen, hat, suntan lotion, camera, plastic rubbish bag for your waste, and an expectant heart!

Do I need to bring my own drinking water? 

The borehole water on the farm is safe to drink and there is plenty of it. However, you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you prefer.

Can I park and/or use my Car and/or Motorcycle in the camping area? 

No vehicles may be parked or used within the camping area. This is for the safety of all.

Do I need to bring my own food? 

No, the camp is fully catered. We will cater for those that are vegetarians and have special medical dietary requirements and have indicated so during the registration process. If you did not do so during registration, please let us know ASAP via email to: [email protected]. Please note that we do not consider Banting as a dietary requirement and will not be catering for this.

Will there be any other food available for sale? 

No, only what the kiosk offers (chips, chocolates, sodas, etc.)

Will there be security on site? 

Yes, there will be 24 hours security for the duration of the camp.

What is your firearm policy? 

No firearms will be allowed on-site.

Can I bring alcohol? 

No alcohol allowed.

Is music allowed? 

Music will be playing from the main hall PA system. You are welcome to bring your guitar, but note that no music will be allowed after 9pm.

Are there rubbish bins available? 

Yes, large black bins will be located throughout the campsite.

What happens if I forgot my ticket? 

We will still be able to assist you with access however this will slow down the registration process.

Can I bring my pets? 

No pets allowed.

Is the farm wheelchair friendly? 

The farm ground is very flat and access from the tenting area to the main hall is without any obstacles. There will be reserve seating for all disabled and elderly folk within the main hall.

What is the Water allocation per person on the farm? 

The farm has more than enough water and has no restrictions.

Can I bring a generator? 

No. We will not allow generators or other loud machinery.

Will we be camping on grass or ground? 

On a wonderfully levelled soft grass area.

What do I do with my child? 

During the sessions:

There will be a Moms & Toddlers tented area available for children (age 0-3).

Nextgen will be looking after Pre-school (age 3-6) and Grade children from (age 7-12) within the enclosed kids tented area.

Children age 13 and up must be in the main hall.

Please note that no children will be allowed to walk around unattended during the session times. Outside of session times: You are solely responsible for looking after your own children during break times.

PLEASE NOTE, that there are open water areas in close proximity to the camping area. We will not allow any swimming for the sake of general safety.

Where can I go if I need to breastfeed my child? 

There will be a private partitioned area within the Moms & Toddlers tent.

Will there be emergency services on site? 

There will be an ambulance onsite as well as a first aid tent.

May I drive through for the day to attend the sessions? Are there Day Tickets available?

Andrew has requested that we all camp in the spirit of unity. Should you still want to drive through instead of camp please process this with your lead elder. The ticket price will remain the same at full price.

If I stay off-site, will my camp fees be discounted? 

No, due to the fact that we negotiated a full venue hire price, not a per person camping price, the camp fees remain the same regardless of where you will be staying.

I cannot afford the camp cost but would really love to attend. What now? 

Please speak to your lead elder and let him know of your situation.

I am pregnant and can’t camp, but still want to come through for the meetings. Can you help me?
