Fri Mar 24, 14:00 - Fri Mar 24, 16:00

Event is online

ABOUT

During this 2-hour NWU Research Conversation Session Drs Bianca Kramer and Jeroen Bosman (both from Utrecht University) will share results from their international survey about the use of various digital tools throughout the research life cycle. Their work titled 101 Innovations in Scholarly Communication, is published under the Creative Commons license and raw as well as analysed data is made available for further analysis and interpretation. During their study they surveyed more than 20'000 participants from more than 100 organisations worldwide (including South Africa) to learn about the changing landscape of research.

Bianca and Jeroen will specifically highlight their findings related to South Africa and will be available to answer questions.

We invite all NWU researchers, students, and support staff  as well as members from NeDICC to join us for this opportunity to hear how the world is using the more than 600 research tools reflected in the 101 Innovations list of scholarly communication tools and to learn about new tools that may enhance your own research. Please note that these tools do not only reflect those used in the traditional publication phase of research, but includes data analysis tools and more.
