ABOUT

This is the season finale and the last Farmhouse Rocks that Vusa & Zoe will be involved with. It was a huge joy to be involved in three seasons and a bitter sweet feeling of moving on but nothing is surer than change and we are so happy to be ending on this line up!

Grassy Spark, is a collection of musicians with a passion for groove. They blend ska with rock, funk, reggae, latin and more all coming together to form a unique sound that is fueled by the love they have for music and the diversity of tastes and culture that cooks in the Mother City.

Femi Koya, A story of migration from the West to the South – resonates in his music, which creates a conscious dialogue between West African and South African sounds. This musical fusion demonstrates the path to a new and culturally integrated Africa in which a common heritage is reinforced to meet the needs of today’s world. His quest is for African unity at a time when he believes Africa should claim its rightful and proud place in the world.

Josh Wantie, Cape Town based singer/producer JOSH WANTIE blends influences of Electro beats and chilled folk vocals with huge productions to create a unique brand of Futurebass and Deephouse. His music has been taking local and international radio by storm with hits "Brightest Light" and Go Under" amassing more than 30 millions plays worldwide. His live show is full of energy as he plays many instruments to accompany his vocal promising a really fun and unique act to watch out for!

Nic Preen, Primarily driven by an unwavering, bass-dependent chord progression and Foals-esque, indie-pop guitar lines, the dynamic maintains Preen’s notoriously melancholy lyricism amidst upbeat instrumentals. Matthew Rightford’s saxophone lines entices you into an excitingly new direction, whilst the marimba bridge section might just take you back to those Al Bairre days of old. (Tex in the City review)
