D4J Prayer Room 2018 - it’s that time of the year againPRAYING FOR DURBANVILLE AND BEYOND…
Let’s look back….it’s our 5th D4J Prayer Room - last year 16 churches - about 1500 people through the room in the 10 days. Each year we have a different theme:
- 2014 – Tie a yellow ribbon…based on the song. Large tree & ribbons
- 2015 – Nehemiah…building in front of you. LEGO
- 2016 – Matt 16:19…locking and unlocking. KEYS
- 2017 – Josh 1:3…claiming ground. Footprints! #Joyprint
‘Build houses & settle down; plant gardens…Also seek the peace & prosperity of the city…Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’
We should seek the peace and prosperity of the place in which God has planted us and pray for it. (Jeremiah 29:5-7) We claimed ground last year (Josh 1:3) and this year we will ask God to shift atmospheres and bring #SeedsOfChange. There’s an expression “bloom where you are planted.’ Send down your roots wherever…even in exile (where you are uncomfortable or isolated) It must become fertile ground because you are there. ‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His one & only Son.’ As Tony Fitzgerald says, ‘For God so loved your family, workplace, COMMUNITY,.. that He gave it YOU!’
Our D4J prayer room will be transformed into 4 different ‘gardens’ with a central focus around a long table. I’ll explain more when we meet together. We’ll be aiming for an easy flow as you do your prayer walk through the room.
Our D4 Room will be suitable & welcoming for ALL age groups. Please encourage parents to bring their children.
The room will be colourful, joyful, prophetic and filled with the Holy Spirit!
